Dreft baby detergent does not seem strong enough?
I wash all of my daughters clothes and bedding in Dreft baby detergent. I took out some "clean" burp cloths to use and I placed it on my shoulder and realized that it smelled like spit-up! Is that detergent TOO gentle? Give me some feedback!!
I've never actually used "baby" detergents. I use arm and hammer powdered detergent without any added perfumes or dyes, and it has never irritated anyone's skin. It also cleans very, very well and is reasonably priced.
If you feel your regular detergent is likely to be an irritant, run the clothes through a second wash and rinse cycle with no detergent added but put in a cup of white vinegar during the wash cycle.
