Great for my breastfed baby

I was exclusively breastfeeding until my son was a little over 5 months and I just couldn't keep up anymore. To relieve stress, I reluctantly introduced this formula. HE LOVED IT! He reacted no differently and gulped it all down. 

It smells different than breast milk, but not weird or anything. I'm very happy that I chose to give my son this...even though it's not breast milk, it's organic and he really seems to like it. He gets one bottle of this a day.

So far, so good

We started using this product after we learned that Organic Similac contained sugar and was in the process of being banned in the EU. I believe that this product uses lactose as the sugar needed to break down the milk-based protein. We knew that we wanted an organic milk-based product to supplement breast feeding when necessary and this one seemed to have the best ingredients. So far our babies seem to tolerate it quite well. No excessive gas or allergies that we can tell after about 8 weeks of using this brand. Also the color is more like my milk and it doesn't stain or have an off-putting smell like other formulas we've seen.

Good Organic Formula

We've been using this formula since our little one was three months old and she's now almost ten months. She does get constipated sometimes, but I don't know if that's the formula or the solid foods or just her system. We tried Similac Organic prior to this and that was VERY constipating! This is much better and not as grainy as Similac. The cheapest way to buy this is through Amazon on their subscribe and save program. Of course conventional is cheaper, but I don't want to compromise my infant's health by giving her formula that can have pestisides, hormones, and genetically modified ingredients! I would definitely recommend this product for anyone using formula.

The next best thing....

I wanted to breast feed, but that did not work out for a number of reasons. We had purchased the Earth's Best to supplement. Our daughter did very well with it and when it became apparent that we would need to do more than just supplement, we decided to stick with what was working. Our daughter is 4 1/2 months old and she is thriving. We appreciate that there is an alternative that is organic and that is working for her.

Abbott recalls "Similac" contamination of infant formula by the mountain

All infant formulas in the same factory line of Michigan are being recalled because of the unlikely possibility of contamination.

The recall of shares fell 0.7 percentage points today, according to AFP. In comparison, competitor Abbott Mead Johnson Co., which makes preparations Enfamil infant formula, has seen its share of 1.7 percent.

The contamination poses no immediate risk to health, Brotz said. However, there may be a possibility that infants consuming infant formula contaminated may experience gastrointestinal distress and refusing to eat food, he added.
